Pomegranate Curd Rice

 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup raw rice

1 pomegranate seeds – peeled and shredded

5 cups water

250 gm Plain Yoghurt

few curry leaves

few coriander leaves

2 green chillies(chopped)

3 tsp gram dhal(kadalai paruppu)

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1 1/2 tsp salt – to taste

2 tsp refined oil

Method:

Pressure cook rice with 5 cups water upto 6 whistle.Turn off the flame.

After 10 mins time ,open the Pressure cooker and add salt and Plain Yoghurt and mix well.

Heat oil in a kadai and add oil,mustard seeds,curry leaves,gram dhal,coriander leaves and chopped green chillies.Saute this for 2 mins and add this to the Curd rice.

Finally add 1 cup pomegranate seeds and mix well.That’s all.
