Mushroom Paneer Pulao



1 pac mushroom

100 g Paneer

½ cup green peas frozen

1½ cup basmati rice.

5 cloves

4 cardamon pods

2-3 small piece of cinnamon

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 medium sized onions

2 tomatoes

Masala :

3 green chillies

1½ inch size ginger

8 pods of garlic

half a bunch of coriander leaves

salt as per taste and ghee as per requirement for cooking


Soak rice for about 20 min and then cook it separately till it is 80 % done.

cut mushroom into thin slices and keep it aside. Wash the coriander leaves and chop it and keep it aside.

Take 3-4 tsp of ghee in a pan and fry the chilly, ginger and garlic till it is soft , strain and remove it in a plate.

In the very same ghee, put mushrooms and stir fry till all the water evaporates and mushroom becomes tender.once done, remove it and keep aside.and then fry Paneer in the very same ghee [ u can add little more ghee ] and keep aside.

In the meantime, when you keep frying paneer u can grind the masala ingredients i.e , chilly , ginger, garlic and coriander leaves. u can add 3-4 slice of fried mushrooms while grinding as the masala will also give the taste of mushroom.

Once u finish frying the Paneer , u can add some more ghee , when it is hot , put the cloves , cinnamon , cardamom and jeera . Then put onions and fry , once the onions turns soft put the tomatoes and once the tomatoes becomes soft , put the grean peas , and keep frying till the peas are cooked [ it’ll take hardly 5 min for frozen peas to cook]

Then pour the ground masala , salt ,and mix well .

Again put the fried mushroom and panner and mix well ,

Then put in the cooked rice and mix well and keep it on low flame for about 5 min until rice gets fully cooked, stirring in between.

Pulao is ready to serve.
