Tangy Lemon Chicken



500 gms boneless chicken pieces(preferably breast pieces-3 nos)

2 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice

1 1/2 tsp green chilli paste

1/2 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp white pepper powder

1 tbsp onion paste

1/2 tsp curry or garam masala powder

1 tsp vinegar

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp cashew paste with 1 tsp poppy seeds

1 tbsp chopped parseley

1 tbsp coriander leaves-chopped

1 tsp mint leaves-chopped

1 1/2 tsp corn flour

2 tsp olive oil

1 tsp coconut oil


Marinate chicken pieces with green chilli paste,ginger paste,garlic paste,corn flour,turmeric powder,1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice,vinegar,salt and onion paste.Mix this well and keep it aside for 25 mins(in the fridge).

Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a pressure pan,add the marinated chicken pieces along with the marinade and cashew paste with 100ml water and pressure cook upto 4 whistles.

Open the lid when the pressure is released.Sprinkle 1 tsp coconut oil,1 tbsp lemon juice,white pepper powder,coriander and mint leaves and cook this(without covering) till water runs dry and garnish with chopped parseley.

Serve this Lemon chicken with steamed rice and plain dal curry or any Indian breads.
